Education Report 2024
Most of you will be aware I was elected as Education Officer at the AGM in December.
I've been tower captain of Haughton for over 30 years, responsible for looking after the recruiting and training of our bell ringers. Talking to many of you through my NSA Membership Secretary role, I realised I wasn't alone at Haughton in struggling to help my learners to progress, the main problem being the lack of steady ringers at our practice.
I know there are already a number of educational meetings, ringing schools and ringing centres within the North Staffs and their teachers and leaders all do an excellent job, I certainly don't want to interfere with what already happens and works very well, but if I can be of any help to towers like mine at Haughton by arranging a few steady ringers to help progress your ringers, then please feel free to contact me.
A couple of towers have already contacted me and I will be organising something for them within due course.
Ideally we could do with a few of us to form an Education Team, if you are interested in helping or know someone who would be, please let me know.
